(More customer reviews)My camera is a Nikon D40 and I love it. It has immense capability that I've never even tried. It took me a few minutes after reading the pages in the Nikon manual about shooting mode settings to find the shutter release information and the correct screen on the Nikon to set it up properly. After setting the shutter release on the camera, all I had to do was point the remote at the infra-red receiver on the left side of the lens (facing the camera) and push the button on the remote. It works flawlessly. I even tried it with me standing a little to the side so I was not in the picture, and it still worked as long as the signal reached the receiver on the camera. Impressive!
The remote is very lightweight and smaller than I expected - only 2 1/8" by 1 1/8". It comes with a very nice velvet pouch with a drawstring, making it easy to carry in a pocket or in a camera bag.
I was honestly shocked that the remote was so simple to use and am now quite excited that I have it. My Nikon is now getting even more use than before and my photography skills are advancing. I highly recommend adding the remote to anyone with a Nikon D40.
