(More customer reviews)I am new to the SLR world. I was looking at the Nikon D40 when I bought this Canon Rebel XS. I found the Canon to have just a little better everything all the way around. Many features I am still learning, but overall I pulled it out of the box and Started taking great pics instantly. If your a point and shoot person this is a new world for taking pictures. But Canon has given you a tool to take great to awesome pictures with this Camera. I also looked at the XSi but found for the extra money(that I really didn't want to spend) the XS did everything I needed and more. I am not a pro so just getting into the SLR line of cameras I was most comfortable with Canon. Plus the kit that I got was so worth it. I priced just the camera at local stores and they couldn't touch this price with all included. My opinion go for it, you'll be happy you did.
